Why choose my

Small business website packages

Clean and consistent

I wholeheartedly believe in clean and consistent designs, so visitors can easily find the information they need.

I will secure your site with a HTTPS certificate and install and configure a security plug in.

Mobile and tablet friendly

I build responsive websites that ensure users have a consistent, positive experience on every device.

Conversion focussed

I build websites with a laser focus on getting your visitors to take action!

Adaptable

I use a page builder plugin so you can easily make changes yourself - no coding needed!

Inclusions

Below are some of the standard inclusions in my small business website packages:

Quality hosting

Cheap website hosts are more likely to have security or performance issues potentially causing your website to crash or run slowly. Hosting is one of those things where you get what you pay for, and I pay for the best. The first year of hosting is always included in my small business website packages.

Security

I secure your site with a HTTPS certificate and install and configure a security plug in to help protect your site from hackers. I also go a step further and customise the standard WordPress login page URL to help prevent the backend of your website being accessed.

Speedy load times

There's nothing more frustrating than a slow website. And once you have a user on your website, you want to keep them on it! I’ll set up caching and optimisation plugins to ensure your website is FAST and squeeze out every bit of extra bloating of your images.

Backups

Having a recent backup of your site prevents any issues caused by human error or hackers. I set up a monthly automated back-up of your website, so if something happens to your data you can simply revert back to your back up.

Mobile and tablet friendly design

Whether somebody is viewing your website from their work PC, their iPad at home or their smart phone on the go, I build responsive websites that ensure users have a consistent, positive experience on every device.

Social media set up

Social media integration helps increase your brand reach and awareness as well as increase your social media following. I make the transition from your social media accounts and website seamless by integrating your accounts.

Contact form

If you’re running a business you will need a contact form to make it easy for new customers to get in touch. I design and integrate contact forms into your website.

Two rounds of revisions

All of my websites include two rounds of refinements (although this isn’t always required). Clients are also able to leave feedback and changes directly on the live site to minimise miscommunication, track changes and ensure all feedback is implemented correctly.

MY FOOL PROOF

Process for website design

Researching and choosing a website designer is a big decision regardless of your business size. You want a website designer who not only can build beautiful and functional sites, but who is thorough and communicates clearly. That’s why I follow a 10 step design process every time. I also keep you updated along the way (without you having to ask)!

The first order of business is to get clarity. I have an initial 30 minute chat to understand the ins and outs of your web design project. From here I may need to clarify a few more things via email.

Once I have all the details, I will send you a tailored quote and an estimated timeframe for completion. You can ask me any questions, and once happy, accept the terms of the project. At this point a 50% deposit is required to secure your spot in my calendar.

To get started, I learn about your business by sending you a project discovery questionnaire. I get clear on your organisation’s purpose, offering, target audience and goals.

Next, I map out the website navigation and come up with a plan for arranging the pages and headings of your website so that it’s logical for visitors (site map). Once approved, I start turning ideas into words and write your copy so that it’s optimised for your customers and the google gods. Or if you are writing your own website copy, I will provide you with a template to help guide you and get you started!

I design the home page first to make sure you’re in love with the initial design. You’ll have the chance to provide feedback and when you are happy I’ll move on to your build.

At this point I will send you a progress payment invoice for 25% of the project. Once that is paid I will start to build your entire site on WordPress, applying the initial design agreed upon. Absolute care and attention to detail is given every step of the way.

With the front end of the website now complete, I give you the chance to see your website “in action” on a staging site (away from the public). Your feedback or any unsatisfactory elements are updated and final approval received.

My goal is to build a perfect, zero-flaws website for you. I now spend some time fine-tuning and testing your website to ensure that all functionality requirements are met, and your website looks perfect on all devices and browsers.

I’ll send across your final invoice for the balance of the project. Once it’s paid, I will set your website live and it goes out to the world! Included in all of my packages is a website mock-up image to share on your socials to help get eyeballs on your site faster.

We aren’t finished yet! I provide each of my clients with a website owner’s manual so you can maintain your website yourself. Or you can sign up for one of my care plans and let me take care of it, so you can continue to focus on running your business.

Frequently asked questions

three dots rural web design

I exclusively use WordPress to create  fully customised websites. Unlike other builders, WordPress is an open source platform that is highly versatile and filled with the most advanced web design features out there. It allows your website to grow as your business grows.

In simple terms, SEO is the practice of optimising your website so that your pages can rank higher on google.

Yes! In fact, this is just one of the ways my websites stand out from others. Over time, outsourcing website changes can cost a business thousands of dollars. I provide my clients with a website owners manual upon handover which details the ways to keep your site up to date, and make changes as required.

Of course, I will always be around to help. If you would prefer to not have to think about making updates and changes, you can sign up for one of my website care plans.

Once your website is launched, I will provide 21 days of support to make sure any bugs have been ironed out and that you are confident using your new website. After this you will need to subscribe to one of my ongoing website care plans to make sure your website is looked after and maintained. These website care plans include updating your software, regular backups, security checks and making sure your website is online and open for business 24/7/365.

I require a 50% down payment before the project begins that also reserves your spot in my calendar. Spots are reserved on a first come, first served basis. During the project I then require a 25% deposit once the home page and initial design has been approved. I then finish building the entire site and once approved, the final balance of the project is due and must be paid (or proof of payment, i.e. Bank Transfer) before the site goes live.

If things are moving smoothly and you are available to answer emails and questions throughout the process, I can get through a 5-page site in up to 4 weeks. The biggest contributor to delayed website delivery is often delayed content and media files from the client. That’s why I include copy in our standard packages.

The time it takes for your website to appear on page 1 of Google depends on a number of factors. It depends on the search phrase people are using to find your website and the number of other websites that are also available for those search phrases. Nobody can truly say how long it will take, however there are a number of factors that can help. One of the most important is creating unique and engaging content on a regular basis for your website as Google determines the relevance of a site based on its freshness.
